How to Draw a Girl? Step-by-Step Tutorial!

Step 1

Our little girl will be wearing a lovely dress, and that’s where we’ll begin our drawing.

The dress features short sleeves and flares out widely at the bottom.

Step 2

Next, draw the girl’s arms along the sides of the dress.

Add a rounded collar at the top of the dress for a nice detail.

Step 3

We’ll come back to the dress later, but now let’s move upwards.

Above the collar, draw a very short neck, followed by the outline of the head.

Notice that the line on the left side of the head is longer than the one on the right.

This is intentional and will help us style the girl’s hair nicely.

In this step, draw the girl’s ears.

They should look like two semi-circles on either side of the head.

Step 5

Now it’s time to add her hair.

We’ll use three flowing lines to create a stylish hairstyle.

Step 6

Let’s focus on her facial features.

Start with the nose and mouth.

To give her a cheerful expression, make sure the line of the mouth curves upward.

If it curves downward, it will convey sadness.

Step 7

Draw two large eyes on either side of the nose.

Once you’re satisfied with the eyes, add eyebrows above them, which are much simpler to draw.

Step 8

The facial features are complete, but let’s make the hairstyle more interesting.

You can add two impressive buns on top of her head for a fun look.

Step 9

Now, let’s work on the lower part of the drawing.

Add comfortable shoes in which she can walk to kindergarten or school.

Leave a small gap under the dress, where we will draw the legs in a moment.

Step 10

Shoes must have a solid sole.

So let’s draw it.

You’re almost done drawing the girl!

All that’s left is to add the legs, which should fit perfectly between the shoes and the bottom edge of the dress.

Step 12

And finally, draw a belt around the dress and add a decorative heart.
